Akademicheskiy shopping mall opened in December 2002. This facility is one of the busiest in this district. The mall is popular with local residents because of a good selection of tenants and an excellent location near Akademicheskaya Metro Station.

The shopping mall has a spacious atrium, a special recreation and entertainment zone, various bars and shops. All this makes Akademicheskiy a great place for shopping and entertainment. Stores on the first and second floors sell clothes, footwear and accessories of famous brands: OGGI, Kari, Sela, O'Stin, Adidas, Reebok, Centro and many others. The mall also houses Eldorado Home Equipment and Electronics store, cellular phone salons, a bookstore, a bank office, and Sport Life Fitness Club. Domovoy Home Supermarket, Sun Point Tanning salon and a dry cleaning facility are located on the basement level.
