The «Kalinka» Basketball Team

The «Kalinka» women»s basketball team was founded in 2005 in Saint Petersburg, and is based at the Kalininskaya Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve (Grazhdanskiy Prospekt, 7). The team»s trainers are Olga Leonidovna Yakovleva and Olga Aleksandrovna Abrikosova. The team is made up of 15 girls, all born in 1998. The team takes part in various tournaments and championships.

In March of 2014, the «Adamant» basketball team, took third place in the Russian Championship for girls born in 1998. In 2014, the team took part in 2 international tournaments, which took place in Riga and Daugavpils in Latvia. «Kalinka» took first and second place in these tournaments respectively. The team is currently applying to be in the «global league», where more experienced teams already play. The team»s main objective in the near future is victory in the Championship of the Russian Federation, which will take place between December 2014 and January 2015.
